THE PARIS NEWS Thursday, June 26, 1980, p.4. 'Carl B. Thompson of Rt. 4, Paris, died Tuesday in Houston. Several services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in Steele and Thomas Memorial Chapel. Interment is to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Thompson was born May 7, 1912 in Fannin County, a son of G. D. and Mattie Gray Thompson. He was a retired dairy farmer and was a lifelong resident of this area. He married Mamie Sisson September 10, 1932 in Grant, OK and was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pat Towers of Paris; four brothers, Claude Thompson of Redwater, Bill Thompson and Clyde Thompson, both of Dallas and Lee Thompson of Carrollton; two sisters, Octavia Barnes of Dallas and Melva Sisson of Paris; and two grandchildren.'

Tombstone is inscribed, 'Child: Patsy, Grandchildren: Carla and Kelly.'
