LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 13 Feb 1986. 'Nora A. Templeton of Cherry Street Manor died Tuesday, 4 Feb 1986, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services were held Friday, 7 Feb., at the Westwood Church of Christ with Elmer L'Roy and Cecil Allen officiating. Burial was in West Post Oak Cemetery by Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mrs. Templeton was born 30 Mar 1890, in Lamar County, a daughter of James Grant and Eva Richey Allison. She married Walter Whitman Templeton on 24 Jun 1909, in Paris. He died 1 Nov 1972. She lived in the Caviness community from 1959 until 1981. She was a member of the Westwood Church of Christ and a former members of the Sumner Women's Home Demonstration Club. Surviving are two sons, Travis Templeton of Hopewell and Winfred (Whimpy) Templeton of Kennedale; five daughters, Helen Eugenia Smith of Paris, Jewel Mears of Vernon, Phoniel Pirtle of Lubbock, Reba Beal of Baytown and Pauline Fagala of Lufkin; 25 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, John Leslie Templeton and James Edwin Templeton; one infant daughter, Louise Nadine Templeton, one brother, Lee Allison, and one sister, Gertie Parsons.
