THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 13, 2008: "Donald Upchurch, 77, of Paris passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Medical City in Dallas. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Interment follows in Providence Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jerry and Luvennie Upchurch; sisters, Wilma Roberts, Lorene Bell and Ruby Choate; brothers, Rob Upchurch, Willie Upchurch and John Upchurch. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Upchurch; daughter, Brenda Bond and husband, Bob, of Dallas; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jessica Amdall; sisters, Margie Ward, Jean Albertson, Pat Nelson; brothers, Wayne Upchurch and Joe Upchurch. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Upchurch, Randy Upchurch, Clint Upchurch, Steve Upchurch, Danny Ward and Dean Bell. Online condolences may be sent to the Upchurch family at www.fry-gibbs.com."
On the same stone with Peggy Joyce Melton Upchurch. Tombstone is inscribed, "Our daughter Brenda Joyce." Also has military marker inscribed, "Cpl US Army - Korea."
