From an unnamed and undated article submitted by Bill Tribbey, Paris, TX billtribbey@sbcglobal.net: "G. P. Irion of 244 West Cherry Street, died Tuesday morning at his home after an illness. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the residence conducted by Dr. W.M. Wright, pastor of First Baptist Church and interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Emerson-Brown-Roden funeral chapel has charge of the services. Born in Alabama in 1857, Mr. Irion had lived here a number of years. Surviving are his two sons and three daughters, Robert and Raymond Irion, Mrs. Howard Tribbey, and Miss Frances Irion, all of Paris, and Mrs. Frank Robinson of Hugo, OK. He leaves also a brother, Bob Irion of Paris; and a sister, Mrs. Betty Davis of Dallas."
