THE PARIS NEWS, 7 Feb 1991. 'Lela Burnett, 94, Cherry Street Annex, died at 7:55 p.m., Wednesday, 6 Feb 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, 8 Feb, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Honor Cemetery at Blossom. Mrs. Burnett was born 4 Sep 1896, in Red River County, a daughter of W.E. and Alice Eisenhower Self. She attended Red River County schools and married J.W. Burnettt on Sep 15, 1912. He died 10 Aug 1980. She lived in the Blossom area for 52 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Black of Reno; three sons, James Burnett of Paris, George Burnett of Abernathy and Thomas Burnett of Blossom; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and two sisters, Ruby White of Amarillo and Dessie Morrison of Quitaque, Texas.' THE PARIS NEWS, 10 Feb 1991. 'Funeral services for Lela Burnett, Cherry Street Annex, were conducted Friday in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Burial was in Knights of Honor Cemetery at Blossom. Bearers were Dakota Wright, Ed Burnett, Grady Wright, Billie Grant, C.A. Martin, and Dr. Don Anderson. Mrs. Burnett died 6 Feb 1991 at St. Joseph's Hospital.'
