| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., Sep. 20, 1996, p.10A. 'Jessie Mae Barr Buckner, 86, of Tyler died Sep. 18, 1996, in Melrose Nursing Center, Tyler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 21, at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.L. Gray officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery. Mrs. Buckner was born March 12, 1911, in Lamar County, a daughter of Robert Henry and Abbie Julia Shelton Barr. Her husband, Houston 'B.H.' Buckner, preceded her in death. She attended Lamar County schools and was a member of Truevine Christian Church. Surviving are three brothers, Charles and Jerry Barr of Austin and Kerry Barr of Dallas; a sister, Karen Barr Kelly of Sherman; and five nieces, Patricia Barr, Carol Gaffney, Geraldine Darty and Wanda Gillford, all of Paris and Jonell Roan of Tyler.' |
