THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Aug. 1, 1994, p.12A. 'Jesse James (Jake) Bryan, 90, 2220 Jackson St., died Sunday, July 31, 1994, in Paris Nursing Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Bryan was born Dec. 5, 1903, in the Jennings community, a son of John S. and Dora Aldridge Bryan. He married Florence Edith Locke Jan. 28, 1924. He was a retired farmer and property supervisor for Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. He was a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons, James Bryan and Joe Bryan, both of Dallas; two daughters, Patsy Hooks and Pam Christianson, both of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children. Pallbearers will be Dan Bryan, Daniel Bryan, Mike Bryan, Chip Bryan, John Bryan and Bobby Hooks.'
