THE PARIS NEWS, 4 Oct 1965. 'James Arthur Brown, a retired employee of the Cummer-Graham Co,, who resided at 1016 E. Polk, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at the L.P. McCuistion Community Hospital. He was born 28 Mar 1890 in Hot Springs, Ark., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mose Brown. His wife, who survives, is the former Annie Belle Shephard and the couple was married 9 May 1914. Services for Mr. Brown, who was a deacon at Ramseur Baptist Church, were to be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Gene Roden and Sons Chapel, and burial made in Evergreen Cemetery. Surviving besides Mr. Brown's wife, are three sons, Arthur Harrel Brown, Paris; Ray Brown of Fremont, Calif.; Talma Lee Brown, El Paso; a daughter, Mrs. J.H. Bridges, Fremont, Calif., and eight grandchildren.'
