THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Apr. 24, 1994, p.6A. 'Lena Mae Brannon, 88, of Paris died Thursday, April 21, 1994, in Parkview Convalescent Center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, in the Glory Baptist Church with Bill Dickey and Coy Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals. The family will receive friends from7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brannon was born Dec. 3, 1905 in Freestone County, TX, a daughter of William Henry and Ophelia Driver Horton. She married Tillman A. Brannon on Jan. 24, 1925. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1979. She was a member of the Glory Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Robert Frank Brannon of Hamilton, OH, Kenneth Wayne Brannon of Wichita, KS, and Ronnald [sic] Lee Brannon of Powderly; three daughters, Louis Props and Mattie Richey, both of Paris and Evelyn Polly of Norman, OK; a brother, W.C. Horton of Fairfield; four sisters, Annie Bell Doss and Lucille Teer, both of Houston, Jewel Milligan of Mexia and Louise Raspess of Kirvin; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Price. Serving as pallbearers will be Thedus Kelley, Roy Hocutt, Newt Cook, Connie Eakes, Freddy Cook and Carl Westbrook.'
