THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Friday, August 4, 1916, Pg. 8: “Allen Bolden, a young man from Deport, twenty-three years old, died at a hospital in Paris at noon yesterday of appendicitis. The body was shipped to Deport on the 4 o’clock Paris & Mt. Pleasant train for burial. ”
