THE PARIS NEWS, 14 Nov 1955: 'J. L. (Lee) Binnion, 69, longtime Paris salesman, died at home, 253 2nd NE, Monday about 7 p.m., after several years ill health. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ernie Cannon, whom he married here 21 Jan 1907, and these children: Jason Ernest Binnion and Joe R. Binnion, Paris; Clyde Binnion, Austin, and Mrs. R.B. Jessee, Gilmer; several grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Cynthia Sanders, Commmerce. He was a brother of the late R. B. Binnion of East Texas State Teachers College, and of a former Paris mayor, the late J. A. (Gus) Binnion. Jason Lee Binnion, son of Jason and Ella (Oliver) Binnion, was born south of Biardstown, where his grandfater, J. C. Binnion from Missouri, had homesteaded in 1844. Lee Binnion, graduated from Paris High School in 1903, that year became a dry goods salesman, and continued in this field until ill health caused his retirement a few years ago. At that time, he had been with the shoe department of Ayres Store several years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and of the Masonic lodge. Gene Roden and Sons have charge of arrangements for services including Masonic burial, but details were incomplete.'

On the same stone with wife, Ernie Cannon Binnion. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Lee Binnion.'
