From SOLOMON GERON AND HIS DESCENDANTS, by Jewell Daphne Gerron Woodard, printed by The Manney Co., Ft. Worth, TX, 76114, 1968, p. 452: "Mary Emma Geron, third child and only daughter of Dr. Thomas Cary and Annie Wells Geron, was born August 21, 1900, near Brookston, Lamar County, Texas. She attended the Paris High School. Mary Emma was married to Benjamin Lloyd Billingsley II, June 14, 1928, by Dr. Cunningham in Paris. Mr. Billingsley, son of Benjamin Lloyd and Effie Roland Billingsley, was born August 24, 1898, in Paris. He attended the Paris High School, and Sewanee Military School. He served in the U. S. Army in World War I. Mr. Billingsley is a salesman. Mrs. Billingsley is a music teacher. The Billingsleys are members of the Presbyterian Church. They had one child, Benjamin Lloyd Billingsley III, born May 22, 1929."
LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, March 28, 1985, p. 4: "Mary Emma Geron Billingsley, formerly of 3106 Old Orchard Rd., Garland, died Thursday, March 21, at 7:20 a.m. in McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Saturday, March 23, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Felix Keys officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Billingsley was born Aug. 21, 1900, near Brookston, a daughter of Dr. Thomas Cary Geron and Annie Wells Geron. She attended Paris High School and Mary Hardin-Simmons College. She married Benjamin Lloyd Billingsley on June 14, 1928, in Paris. He died dec. 9, 1974. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and had been a piano and organ teacher for more than 30 years. She was a longtime resident of Paris before moving to Garland and had returned here in January. She was a member of the Paris Music Club and several other organizations. Surviving are a son, Ben L. Billingsley III of Garland; one granddaughter, Mrs. Clark (Karen) West of Garland; two great-grandchildren, Amber and Adam West of Garland; one brother, Charles Geron Sr. of Dallas; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Bedford Geron of Dallas, Mrs. Charles Geron of Dallas, Mrs. Margaret Briggs of Bryan and Mrs. Allie Mae Billingsley of Paris."
