THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Apr. 17, 1995, p.10A. 'Lula Locke Billings, 91, of Roxton died Sunday, April 16, 1995, at Paris Health Care Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the First Baptist Church in Roxton with the Rev. Larry Solice officiating. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will make burial in Restland Cemetery at Roxton. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and will be at the home of Pat Tibbs, 3445 Reno Dr., Paris. Mrs. Billings was born March 30, 1904, east of Roxton, a daughter of Sam K. and Nancy Jane Hicklin Locke. She married Mervin R. Billings Sr., Nov. 9, 1920. He died Jan. 4, 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roxton. Surviving are two sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Nadja Billings of Plano, Kenneth and Wanda Billings of Honey Grove and Virginia Billings of Tyler; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Gwen Moore of Ben Franklin, Joy and J.W. Cunningham of Dallas, Shirley and Neal Taylor of Bonham and Pat and Ron Tibbs of Paris; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Billings and M.R. Billings Jr. and by a son-in-law, D.C. Moore. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.'
