Married Mervin Ralph Billings. THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Apr. 17, 1995, p.10A. 'Lula Locke Billings, 91, of Roxton died Sunday, April 16, 1995, at Paris Health Care Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the First Baptist Church in Roxton with the Rev. Larry Solice officiating. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will make burial in Restland Cemetery at Roxton. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and will be at the home of Pat Tibbs, 3445 Reno Dr., Paris. Mrs. Billings was born March 30, 1904, east of Roxton, a daughter of Sam K. and Nancy Jane Hicklin Locke. She married Mervin R. Billings Sr., Nov. 9, 1920. He died Jan. 4, 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roxton. Surviving are two sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Nadja Billings of Plano, Kenneth and Wanda Billings of Honey Grove and Virginia Billings of Tyler; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Gwen Moore of Ben Franklin, Joy and J.W. Cunningham of Dallas, Shirley and Neal Taylor of Bonham and Pat and Ron Tibbs of Paris; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Billings and M.R. Billings Jr. and by a son-in-law, D.C. Moore. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.'
