LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, August 25, 1983, p. 4. 'Mrs. Myrtle Beatrice Bennett, 2550 E. Price, died Friday, Aug. 19, at McCuistion Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug.22, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Grable officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born Dec. 3, 1910, in Oklahoma City, a daughter of Jess and Ira Russell Stone. She married Woodrow Wilson Bennett in April 1947. She was a retired licensed vocational nurse and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, James Durham of Garland and Jerry Durham of Dallas; three brothers, Donald Stone and Gene Stone, both of Paris and Ross Stone of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Frances Morgan of Paris and Lorene Box and Lucille Dockstater, both of Houston; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.' On the same stone with Woodrow Bennett.
