LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Thu., Jan. 10, 1985. 'Mrs. Mable H. Beard of 319 W. Neagle, died Sun. Jan. 6, at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Wed. Jan. 9, at Mt. Canaan Baptist church with Rev. C. B. Wallace officiating. Burial was in Mainland Cemetery in Hitchcock by Maxey Funeral Home. Mrs. Beard was born April 1, 1900, in Lamar County, a daughter of Edmond and Alice Young Morgan. She attended Lamar county schools and was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. She was a former employee of John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Reba Sutphen, Mrs. Lela Fuller and Mrs. Lula Black, all of Paris; three nieces, Mrs. Ruby Neal of Brookston, Mrs. Letha Moore and Mrs. Catheryn Ellis, both of Paris; seven nephews, Joe Baldwin, Lonnie Baldwin and Home Lee Council, all of Paris, Samuel Edward Baldwin and Johnnie Lee Baldwin, both of Galveston, Rufus Baldwin of Phoenix, AZ. and W.O. Morgan of Wichita Falls'.
