LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Nov. 1, 1984. '... wife of the late Frank C. Bean, 325-32nd NE, Died in St. Joseph's Hospital Oct. 26. Services held Oct. 29, at Oak Park United Methodist Church with Rev. David Blackmon, pastor, and Rev. Walter Vernon. Burial by Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. Born in Lamar County, a daughter of William Lowell Mason and Mary Frances Williams Mason. She attended Deport schools and was a graduate of Paris High School. She attended Paris Junior College and East Texas State Teachers College. She taught school at the Clark school in Delta county, at Petty, Bagwell and Avery before retiring in 1950. She was a member of the Oak Park United Methodist Church. She married Frank C. Bean in 1925. He died 2 May 1974. Surviving are 2 sons, Frank Mason Bean and W. Clifton Bean of Houston; 4 grandchildren, Mrs. Melissa Anne Rae of Houston, Mrs. Pricilla Mason Snelling of Dallas, Jason James Irvin of Houston and John Thomas Irvin of Houston; a great-grandson, Ryan Parker Booth of Houston; 2 sisters, Mrs. Thelma Williams of Hugo and Mrs. Ruth Vernon of Nashville, TN'.
