THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 21 Apr 1988. 'Levia Estelle Baxter, 91, of Amarillo, formerly of Lamar County, died Friday, 15 Apr 1988, at the Georgia Manor Nursing Home in Amarillo. Services were held Monday, 18 Apr, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Kern officiating. Burial was in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. Mrs. Baxter was born 18 Feb 1897, in Lebanon, Tenn., a daughter of Rollie and Betty Rice Johnson. She married George W. Baxter on 15 Sep 1918, in Blossom. He died in 1977. She was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Lone Star, Texas. Surviving are a son, Marshall Baxter of Lone Star; one daughter, Helen Kuntz of Amarillo; one sister, Topsy Herron of Paris; five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.'
