From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; daughter of Samuel & Florence Stephenson Brannon. Married Robert Burton Baty. Born in Tigertown community of Lamar County, died in Kendall, TX. Additional information from Debbie Burks, 3935 Sage Trail, Paris, TX 75460; Ella Florence 'Bobbie' Brannon Baty, born in Texas, daughter of Samuel and Florence Stephenson Brannin. Around 1906, about the time that Bobby and her sister started to school, the teacher said their name was spelled wrong. Thereafter, the children in this family and one other spelled their name 'Brannon' instead of 'Brannin.' THE PARIS NEWS, 13 Oct 1976. 'Mrs. Ella (Bobbie) Baty of 404 Jeanette St. in Greenville, formerly of 550-15th SE in Paris, died Tuesday in Kennedale. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Cemetery Leverett and Steel Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Baty was born 22 Apr 1898, in Tigertown, the daughter of the late Samuel Brannon and Florence Stephenson. She married R.B. Baty on 31 Mar 1923, in Tigertown. He died 8 Apr 1976. Survivors include three sons, Harold Baty of Garland, Earl Baty of Arlington and Albert Baty of Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (June) Alexander of Greenville; three brothers, Oscar Brannon of Balonia, Ark. and Otis and Owne Brannon, both of Clayton, N.M.; two sisters, Mrs. Wade Rose and Mrs. Lola Burks, both of Paris; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.'
