From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; daughter of Lum & Nancy Kelly Adams. Married W.D. Baker. Born in Gadsden, AL., died in Paris, TX. LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, August 6, 1981, p.4. 'Mrs. Hattie Bell Baker, 2185 E. Cherry, died Friday, July 31 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 3 at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddy Johnson, pastor of the Ramseur Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mrs. Baker was born May 20, 1896 at Gadsden, Ala., a daughter of Lum and Nancy Kelly Adams. She married W. D. Baker in 1922. He died in 1943. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Jones and Mrs. Dudley Batch, both of Dallas; two sons, W. D. Baker of Augusta, Ga. and Ned Baker of Paris; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Gunter of California and Mrs. Etter Gooch of Dallas; one brother, Lynn Adams of Bowie; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by two daughters, Pauline Baker in 1929 and Mrs. Ruth McGee on Oct. 31, 1980, and by a son, Bobby Gene Baker in 1955. Bearers were Tommy Fortner, Terry Joe Wilson, Jimmie McGee, John McGee, Johnny Fisher and Scott Johnson.'
