THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Dec. 23, 1996, p. 5A: '(Picture) Zona L. Bailey, 84, 2193 E. Cherry, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sid Young officiating. Burial will be in East Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bailey was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Mena, AR, to Jim and Fannie Castleberry Ford. She married Lafayette 'Pete' Bailey Dec. 20, 1930. She was a sales clerk at Palace Drug Store No.2 for a number of years and was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Gaylon and Wanda Bailey; two grand-children; four step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Crawford of Paris. Bearers will be James Crawford, Jimmy Ford, Johnny Crawford, Stephen Newton, Mike Newton, Craig Bailey and Cary Bailey. Honorary bearers will be B.J. Crawford and Albert Boren.' Inscription on stone says 'Our Son, Gaylon.' Pictures on stone.
