THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Sep. 11, 1994, p.7B. 'Marilyn M. Bailey of Little Rock, AR, and a former Paris resident, died at Saint Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock Friday, Sep. 9, 1994. She was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Crane, MO, a daughter of Cortis and Mary Crane McGuire. A life-long Paris resident, Mrs. Bailey attended Paris schools, graduating from Paris High School in 1936. She attended Paris Junior College and Paris Sanitarium Nursing School. She also attended East Texas State University. She was a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, and for 20 years was employed by the Texas Department of Human Services, where she worked in protective services, as adoptive supervisor and finally as assistant to the regional administrator. During the early 1970s, Mrs. Bailey was instrumental in developing a workshop for mentally retarded adults at Paris Junior College and served as president of the Paris Association for Retarded Citizens. She and her husband also operated Frank Bailey Produce. A funeral mass will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Clarksville Street with Father Michael Barone officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A vigil service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by six children, Dedy and Richard Brock of Rogers, AR, Beth and Jim Jones of Durant, OK, Mary Ann and Ron Davis of Amarillo, Frank and Fern Bailey III of Dallas, Barbara J. and Bill Springer of Fayetteville, AR, and Claire Grayson of Little Rock; a sister, Myra Nell Wilson and a brother, Cortis McGuire, both of Paris; 13 grandchildren - Julie, Rick and Joe Del Barto; Michael, Phil and Patrick Bailey; Hatton Humphrey; Matthew and Ellen Davis; Keith Grayson II, and Macey, Katie and Billy Springer - a great-grandchild, three nieces and five nephews. The family will be at the home of her sister, Myra Nell Wilson. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers are grandsons Rick and Joe Del Barto, Hatton Humphrey, Michael, Phil and Patrick Bailey, Matthew Davis, Keith Grayson and Billy Springer. Also, Jim and Bob Wilson, Jim McGuire and Ron Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Bailey, Mac McGuire, Harry Wilson, Richard Brock, Jim Jones, Bill Springer, Jack King and Eddie Poole.' Married Frank Bailey.
