THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., May 5, 1994, p.14A. 'Joseph N. (Bill) Bryson, 72, 2025 E. Polk, died Wednesday, May 4, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, My 6, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Pirtle officiating. Burial will be in Bogata Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Bryson was born April 29, 1922, in Red River County, a son of Harvey and Winnie Scoggins Bryson. He married Maggie Thelma Carrell in 1941 in Bogata. He was an electrician and served in the Navy Seabees during World War II. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Billie Melinda Pickering of Fort Worth, Elizabeth C. Martin of Mesquite and Patty Byron of Fort Smith, AR; one son, Dusty Bryson of Paris; one brother, E.M. Bryson of Port Barre, LA; one sister, Katherine Butler of Paris; eight grandchildren nd seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Billie Sue Moore, and a brother, Troy Bryson.'
