THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 26 Mar 1981. 'Mrs. Minnie Brown, 91, of Cherry Street Annex died 19 Mar 1981 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, 21 Mar in Steele and Thomas Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glynn Vickers officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cooper. Mrs. Brown was born in the Greenwood community of Delta County on 22 Oct 1889, daughter of Joseph and Fannie Deason. She married Paul Brown of Delta County on 16 Oct 1911. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. She is survived by a brother, A.D. Deason of Dallas; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Juanita Brown of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Morris Brown, in 1972.'
