THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, April 14, 2000, page 8A: 'FORT WORTH - Charles Garner Icenhower, 70, of Fort Worth died at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital Tuesday, April 11, 2000. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Richland Hills United Methodist Church with Dr. Don Scroggs and the Rev. Claude Davison officiating. Burial was in Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery by Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Mr. Icenhower was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Turkey, Texas to Luther and Lee Belle Icenhower. He moved with his family to Detroit as a young boy and graduated from Detroit High School and attended a business college in Paris. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and served overseas for three years. He returned to Fort Worth where he worked for W. Pat Crow Forgings for 22 years and retired from Rite-Weld Welding Supply in 1995 after 18 years. He was a member of Richland Hills United Methodist Church. He loved fishing, his daily walks, and most of all his grandchildren. Surviving are his loving wife of 20 years, Ruth Ladean Roach Icenhower; his children, Donna Fox, Jimmy Fox and wife Tammy, Johnny Fox and wife Vicki, Rick Young and wife Therese, Terri Kidd and husband Daryl, Bryan Young, Diane Cazzell and fiance Michael Umphress; grandchildren, Nathan Young, Erin Fox, Jennifer Kidd, Melissa Kidd, Ryan Cazzell, Taylor Young and Samuel Young; a sister, Katha Lee Stuart of Paris; a brother, C.L. Icenhower of Queen Creek, Ariz.; nieces and nephews, Kenneth and Sheila Icenhower, Mike and Joanne Icenhower, Cindy and Nino Herrera, Sheila and Glenn Kuhn, Vance Stuart and fiancee Jill Weitner; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kirk Icenhower; a nephew, Billy Icenhower; and his first wife, Mary Fox Icenhower Memorials may be made to Richland Hills United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, MD Anderson Medical Center, or the American Heart Association.'
