| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., Nov. 14, 1997, p. 4B: "(Picture) Rosie Ballard, 81, Rt. 5, Paris, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Haskell England officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 5, 1915 [sic], in Salisaw, OK, to Hershel and Willie Culvert Morton. She was a homemaker and member of Bonham Street Church of Christ. She married Orvel Ballard April 11, 1934. After his death in 1978, she married A. C. Ballard April 26, 1982. Surviving are her husband of 15 years, A. C. Ballard; six sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Josephine Ballard of Alba, Willard and Veronica Ballard of Reno, Hershel and Margaret Ballard of Paris, Dewayne and Kathy Ballard of Atlas, Orvel and Bonnie Ballard of Paris and Larry and Doreen Ballard of Paris; a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jim Montgomery of Paris; five stepsons, Jerry Ballard of Brookston, Clayton Ballard of Paris, Freddy Ballard of Brookston, Kenneth Ballard of Brookston, and Rickey Ballard of Brookston; three step-daughters, Linda Ashford of Reno, Peggy Dixon of Slate Shoals and Brenda Johnson of Paris; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers-in-law, Ruben Allen of Paris and Milford Aubrey of Carrollton. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother."
