THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Dec. 30, 1997, p. 4B: (Picture) Alva Ruth Bryan Usry, 65, of Paris died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, in Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the chapel of Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Mike Marsters officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and be at the home of Mike and Sherry Marsters, 2935 Briarwood, at other times. Mrs. Usry was born Sep. 6, 1932, to Roy Lee and Lydia Ballard Bryan in West Post Oak community In Lamar County. She married Charles R, Usry Feb. 3, 1954, in Paris. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Bonham Street Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Mrs. Usry is survived by her husband; three sons and their wives, Lloyd and Debra Usry of Paris, Ronny and Gail Usry of Hugo, OK and Michael and Tammy Usry of Paris; three daughters and their husbands, Charlotte and Steve Cannon, Sherry and Mike Marsters and Donna and Keith Moseley, all of Paris; 13 grandchildren, Charlie Usry, Jillian Simpson, Lorie and Austin Moseley, Marcus Cartwright, Brandon, Darla and Aaron Marsters, Stephen and Heather Cannon, Kassy Usry, all of Paris, and Kristie Nutt of Clarksville, TN, and Tiffany Ferguson of Hugo; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, J. T. and Cathryn Bryan and Sebourn and Norma Bryan all of Paris, and James and Alberta Ballard of Carmichael, CA. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Usry, Wayne Kerby, Jim Montgomery, Ed Bullard, Gene Stallings, Dennis Nutt and Brandon Marsters. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Cartwright and Stephen Cannon."
