| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Oct. 20, 1997, p.4B: "Joy Townsend, 61, of Paris died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997, at Cherry Street Manor. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 21, at Chicota Baptist Church with tile Rev. Bill Sanders officiating. Burial will be In Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home. Surviving are sisters, Laura Keller of Albuquerque, NM and Marie Collins of Fort Worth; brothers, Ray Davis of Chicota and Leon Townsend of San Angelo. Pallbearers will be Jamie Keller, Don Slagle, Clarkson Sain, Jack Falls, Billy Garner and Jack Frierson. Memorials may be made to Chicota Baptist Church Building Fund.’ Birth date is calculated. She was the daughter of W. L. and Florence Carley Davis Townsend." |
