THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, 5 Aug 1997, p. 14: “Mary Barry - PRESCOTT, Ark. -- Mary Barry, 93, former resident of Roxton, died in Hope, Ark., Thursday, July 31, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital. Services were held in Prescott at Central Baptist Church with burial in Restland Cemetery in Roxton. Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott had charge of arrangements. She was born a member of Central Baptist Church and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Paris and in Prescott. Her husband, J. C. Barry, died in 1958. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Howard Barry, in 1989, and a great-grandson, Michael Poff, in 1986. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Alice Barry of Garland; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Ted Foster of Prescott; a daughter-in-law, Eva Barry of Marietta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Don Barry of Valdosta, Ga., Col. Mike Barry of Wiesbaden, German, Marsha Rosinski of Dearborn, Mich., Rachel Wilson of Tokyo, Japan, Faith Beavert of Prescott, Kim Poff of Smackover, Ark., and Sonja Lindsey of Magnolia, Ark.; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Bryant of Breckenridge; and a number of nieces and nephews.”
