| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Wed., Oct. 1, 1997, p. 4B: '(Picture) Nelda Joyce Templeton, 58, Rt. 2, Box 113, Paris, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 30, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct services at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Lamar Ave. Church of Christ with Stephen A. Vogel officiating. Burial will be in Sylvan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Paris to Lee and Margaret Isom Blackburn. She graduated from Blossom High School and married H. M. 'Sonny' Templeton Jr. June 15, 1939. She was a teacher's aid in Daingerfield and North Lamar school systems and was a member of Blossom Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, B. J. and Nancy Templeton of Austin; a grandson, Blake Templeton of Austin; three brothers, Harold Blackburn of Blossom, Donald Blackburn of Paris and Mike Blackburn of Blossom; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Camelia Ann Blackburn, in 1992, and a grandson, Tyler Lee Templeton, in 1995. Pallbearers will be Wayne Moffitt, Matt Moffitt, Phil Cantrell, Michael Blackburn, Craig Blackburn and Roger Bryan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sylvan Cemetery Association, c/o Donald Blackburn, Rt. 2, Box 112, Paris, 75662.' |
