THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, June 6, 1999, page 4B: 'Funeral services for Lilly Mae Tyson will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, 1999, at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Connice Mayes officiating. Burial will be in the Fairland-Littlejohn Cemetery. She died Wednesday, June 2. Mrs. Tyson was born Dec. 26, 1916 in Paris to George and Mollie (Patterson) Wortham. She attended Gibbons High School and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a faithful member of the New Light Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Louise Tyson of Paris; granddaughters Brenda Tyson Pratt, Shirley Tyson Marks, Lilly Tyson Gentry, Vickie Tyson, Mary Booker and Doris Tyson, all of Paris, Jacqueline Tyson of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jeffery Tyson of Dallas, Ricky Tyson, Terry Tyson and Donald Tyson, all of Paris, Curtis Tyson of Mineral Wells and Paul Smith of Wichita Falls; 10 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; two cousins, Lucille Samuels and Willie J. Wilson of Clarksville; a special friend, Joseph Farris of Paris and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.'
