THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, March 22, 1966, p. 2: "Mike Bennett, Negro resident of 621-2nd NE, died of a heart attack at home, Tuesday about 2:15 a.m. He was a retired employee of Automatic Gas and Electric Company and a World War I veteran. Surviving are his wife, Pinkie; two sons, Charles Robert Bennett, Paris, and SFC James Mike Bennett, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.; six grandchildren; two married sisters living in Dallas, and a brother, Robert Houston, Oklahoma City, Okla. William Maxey Funeral Home here is in charge of services."
