THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, March 8, 1966: 'Mrs. Mary Jane (McFatridge) Baze, 73, widow of W. M. Baze, died Monday at 7:40 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Nursing Home. She formerly lived at 240 W. Brame St. She was a member of the Highway Full Gospel Church, south of Paris, where the body will lie an hour before the funeral, Wednesday at 4 p.m., the pastor, Sister Virgie Temple, and the Rev. Ray Stanley Preston, Assembly of God pastor, will officiate, burial in Littlevine Cemetery near Unity to be made by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home, Paris. Daughter of Bill and Mollie (Stephens) McFatridge, Mrs. Baze was born in Unity community, Sept 13, 1892, and lived there until the early 1930s. She and Mr. Baze moved then to Paris, his death occurring in 1947. She leaves five children; Arlie Thurman, Coolidge, Ariz., son by a former marriage; Ed Baze of 3261 Margaret, Paris, where relatives will receive friends; Miss Bertha Baze, also of Paris; Mrs. Marston Bennett, Texarkana, Ark.; and J. W. Baze, Dallas. Also a number of other descendants; a brother, Pat McFatridge, Vernon; and three sisters; Mrs. Ernest Frank and Mrs. Harry Melvin, and Mrs. Elsie Better, Jena, La.' Buried next to William Mearned Baze.
