| Notes From the burial records of J.W. Milligan, Pastor of Chicota Baptist Church, as 'Mid Upton's boy George, buried at Direct at Reg.[sic]' THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, August 5, 1932, p.3. 'George Upton, 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mid Upton, died Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his parents at Direct. He leaves his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. J. W. Milligan at Garrett's Bluff Baptist church Friday afternoon. Burial will be at Garrett's Bluff cemetery.' In 1994 this was an unmarked grave. |
