From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; son of Potter G. & Hassie Pearl Bybee Upchurch. Born & died in Lamar County, TX.

THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thursday, February 23, 1978, p. 4. 'Grady Upchurch, 76, of Parkview Nursing Home, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 1978, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Leverette Steele Thomas Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Virgie Temple officiating. Interment was made in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Mr. Upchurch was born August 21, 1901, in Lamar County, son of Potter Upchurch and Hassie Pearl Bybee Upchurch. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wirta Upchurch and a sister, Mrs. Vina May Green. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. C. Cope of Paris and Mrs. Ethel Warren of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ricky Hamilton, Jimmy Hamilton, Joey Cope, Phil Cope, Jerry Herring, Franky Green, Tommy Warren, James Warren and Tim Exum.'
