THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 2, 1974, p. 10: “Mrs. Tom L Turner. Mrs. Tom L. Turner, 91, of 1233 Lamar Ave. died about 5:50 a.m. Sunday at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Leverett and Steele Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Turner was born Nov. 27, 1883 at High, the daughter of the late Rolan Jack and Maggie J. Robinson. She married Mr. Turner, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Bonham Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lida Rolan Lewis of Paris; three grandchildren, Dr. Tom Tandy Lewis, PhD., of Lady Smith, Wis.; Mrs. George (Madge) Schreiber of Lamesa and Mrs. R. D. (Millie) Nelms of Fayetteville, Ark.; and six grandchildren. The family will received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, December 4, 1974, p. 14: “Turner Funeral. Funeral services for Mrs. Tom L. Turner were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Leverett and Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Hubert Roach, minister of the Church of Christ, officiating, assisted by Albert Roach. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery by Leverett and Steele Funeral Home. Pallbearers were David Long, B. E. Cannon, A. B Pollard, Sam Jackson, Rayford Stone and Roy Bryan. Mrs. Turner died Sunday.”
