THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, 29 Nov 1959, p. 3: "Charles E. Turner, formerly a farmer and carpenter living on Blossom, Rt. 2, died Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Terrell hospital. The funeral, Monday at 2:30 p.m., Will be held at Novice Baptist Church where the body will lie for an hour before the service. The Rev. Lewis Ricketson will officiate, and Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will make burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Born near Marshall, November 7, 1853, Mr. Turner was a son of the late George and Victoria (Wiley) Turner. He married Miss Dora Foster, January 5, 1908 in Paris. He had lived at Novice 44 years and was a member of the Baptist Church where he has a former deacon and Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, H. E. Turner, Blossom, Rt. 2, and seven other descendants."
