THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Jan. 10, 1995, p.10A. 'Bertha Faye Townsdin, 64, 3245 E. Houston, died Sunday morning, Jan. 8, 1995, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at East Paris Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals, has charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at 3245 E. Houston St. Mrs. Townsdin was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Cushing, OK, a daughter of George Washington and Rosa Elvira Gibson Tuttle. She was married to Milferd William Townsdin Jr. Dec. 6, 1950, in Cushing. She worked as Children's Librarian at the Paris Public Library. Surviving are her husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Larry Napper of Blue Springs, MO; her son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Cheryl Townsdin of Paris; nine grandchildren: Benjamin Napper, Andrew Napper, Matthew Townsdin, Stace Napper, Beth Townsdin, Suzanne Townsdin, Holly Napper, Lara Townsdin and Crystal Napper; two sisters, Mary Ann Wilson of Torrence, CA and Velma Dean Long of Cushing, OK; and four brothers, Burl L. Tuttle of Cushing, Noah G. Tuttle of Cushing, Johnny Lindel Tuttle of Riverside, CA and Kenneth D. Tuttle of Lakewood, CA. She was preceded in death by her son, Kent William Townsdin; four brothers and two sisters, Ray, Woody, Don, Noma, Lola and Glen W. Tuttle. In lieu of flowers, Ms. Faye has requested that donations be made to the children's department of the Paris Public Library for all the precious children she loved so dearly.'
