THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Oct. 22, 1996, p.5A. 'Dallas - Delbert Towers Sr., 80, of Richardson died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996. Services will were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Restland Memorial Chapel with Charles Mickey and Bill Jones officiating. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Paris. Mr. Towers was born March 25, 1916, a son of Luther and Lula Hill Towers. He married DeNola Howeth May 29, 1937. He spent many years as a baker. He retired in 1981 from Texas Color Printers and was a member of the Richardson East Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, DeNola; two sons, Delbert D. Towers Jr. of Princeton and Noel Anthony Jack Towers of Dallas; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Hollis Towers and Luther Towers Jr., both of Paris and Grady Towers of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Katherine Allen of Paris. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elbert Towers.'
