THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 5 Aug 1990. 'Cora Lee Toppings, 80, of Cherry Street Annex died Friday, 3 Aug 1990, at the nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel, with internment following at Evergreen Cemetery, with Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Mrs. Toppings was born 1 Sep 1909, in Honey Grove, a daughter of John and Mattie Brown Husk. She was a member of the Ramseur Baptist Church and of the RSVP. Surviving are two sons, John R. Toppings of Paris and Thomas Toppings of Dallas; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Baty of Garland, Mrs. Don (Sandra) Roe of Wills Point, Mrs. James (Wanda) Wright of Paris, and Mrs. Roland (Rinda) Hodges of Mesquite; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. The family will be a the home of Mrs. James Wright, 4435 Pine Mill Road.' Buried near Caroline McGill Crocket.
