THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 27, 2007: "Avanell Toon, 87, of Paris, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, at Legend Nursing Home. Graveside services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, in the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Bryan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Mahoney, a daughter of Willie and Vera Bell Dodd. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cooper and was retired from Hollywood Vasserette. She married James Toon on Oct. 19, 1950. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1978. She is survived by children, Joyce Richardson, Benny Lovelady and wife, Debbie, Vicki Crawford and husband, Harry, Jerri Burnett, and Tammi Gillie and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Rickey Richardson and wife, Michelle, Loni Richardson and wife, Cindy, Hunter Lovelady and wife, Nikki, Tara Gray and husband, David, Matt Lovelady, Chance Allison and wife Abby, Tensie Burnett, Cade Crawford and wife, Cristy, Cayla Crawford, Andi Howie and husband, Brian, and Taylor Gillie; several great-grandchildren; brother, Truman Dodd and sister, Ozell Shepherd. Pallbearers will be Rickey Richardson, Loni Richardson, Chance Allison, Cade Crawford, Hunter Lovelady and Brian Howie.
