THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, May 6, 1960, p. 2: “W. W. TOLBERT. W. W. Tolbert, 82, resident of Blossom vicinity 55 years, died here at Lamar General Hospita1, Thursday about 11 p.m. He was a retired farmer, living on Blossom, Rt. 2, Services, set Saturday at 2:30 p.m., will be held at First Baptist Church at Blossom, by the pastor, the Rev. Eddis Smith. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home here will make interment in Knights of Honor Cemetery at Blossom. Born at Mountain Home, Ark., January 11, 1878, William Wallace Tolbert came to Texas in 1898. He married Miss Lucy Alice Shepherd of Deport, November 27, 1904, and she survives, besides these children: Morris C. Tolbert, Paris; Virgil F. Tolbert, Mt. Pleasant; William A. Tolbert, Denton, and Mrs. Jack R. May, Tex a s City, and 16 other descendants.
THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, May 8, 1960, p. 6: “TOLBERT BURIAL. Services for W. W. Tolbert, 82, of Blossom vicinity, who died Thursday, were conducted Saturday afternoon at First Baptist Church at Blossom. Interment was made in Knights of Honor Cemetery there by Fry & Gibbs, bearers being John Boren, C. U. Morrison, Carl Griffin, Max Rowland, Bill Baxter and Henry Risinger.”
