THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, January 3, 1936, p. 2: "School was dismissed here Monday and Tuesday on account of Mrs. Virgil Tolbert's death and funeral. Among those attending the service here were Mr. and Mrs. Goerge Bunch, Vernon; Mrs. Lula Daniels, Mrs. Willie Cherry and Ed Corley, San Antonio; Earl Richie and family, Longview; Virgil Albright and family, Powderly; Mr. and Mrs. William Richie, Detroit; Dudley Bunch and daughters, Foreman, Ark.; Arthur Brown and Riley Frazier and their families from Milton."
