THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, Tuesday, March 4, 1919, p. 2: "J. R. Tidwell, who lives a mile north of Emberson on the Haines farm, died last Saturday night of pneumonia. He had a son to die a week ago, and all of the members of the family have been sick. The funeral was held at Prairie Ridge Sunday afternoon."
