| Notes THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS, Monday, July 29, 1889: “Paris, Texas, July 28, T. L. Thrasher, an old and highly respected citizen of Paris, died at his residence on Birmingham Street Friday and was buried yesterday.” Information from Ron Brothers: On-line records show him as Thomas Leander Thrasher, the son of Franklin Delmore Thrasher and Fatha Locke. Thomas married Mary Elizabeth Gipson Jan. 5, 1854 in Arkansas. She was born about 1835 according to the 1880 Lamar County Census. She died Mar. 21, 1899 in Paris, Lamar, Texas (burial location unknown). Tombstone is inscribed: “Thomas L. Thrasher. Buried next to Mary E. F. Thrasher. |
