LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 26 Sep 1985. 'Ryan Thrasher, 6, of Lufkin, great grandson of Sarah Thrasher and Mrs. Leslie Howie of Paris, died Wednesday, 18 Sep 1985, at his home after a long illness. Services were held Friday, 20 Sep., at the First Baptist Church in Lufkin with Dr. Charles McIlveene and the Rev. Fletcher Erwin officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 4 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Gipson Funeral Home of Lufkin had charge of arrangements. He was born in Springfield, Mo,, on 24 Nov 1978, a son of Don and Sarah Thrasher. He attended the First Baptist Church and the Preschool 5 Sunday school class. Other than his great grandmothers, survivors are his parents; one brother, David, of the home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thrasher of Clarksville; one uncle, Marcus Thrasher of Arlington; and three aunts, Jessa Cisco of Whitney, Naomi Lawler of Clarksville and Patsy Kirk of Longview.'

Buried next to Mary Louise Sterling.
