THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 25 Feb 1988. 'Wagner Edgar Thoms, 67, of Roxton died at McCuistion Medical Center at 12:23 p.m. Sunday, 21 Feb 1988. Graveside services were held at Restland Cemetery in Roxton Wednesday, 24 Feb, with the Rev. Burgie Thompson and Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Thoms was born 15 Feb 1921, in Soper, Okla., a son of A.T. and Nora Bush Thoms. He moved to Roxton as a child. He attended schools there and attended Lamar Business College. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Surviving are two sons, Steve Thoms of Paris, and Eddie Thoms of Paris; four grandchildren, Stephanie Thoms, Brian Thoms, Jody Thoms and Jason Thoms, all of Paris; and two brothers, James Creed Thoms of Roxton and Elvin Therial (Pete) Thoms of Fort Worth.'

Tombstone is inscribed, 'TEC 5 US Army WW II.' Next to Nora B. Thoms.
