| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Apr. 12, 1984. 'COOPER -Mrs. J.E. Thompson, 94, of Lake Creek died Tue., April 10, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs. Services held Wed., April 11, at McClanahan and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Regan and Rev. Russell Regan and Rev. Katie Mackenzie. Mrs. Thompson was born Jan. 20, 1890, in Delta County, a daughter of Joseph E. Harris and Frances Elizabeth Mitchell Harris. She married J.E. Thompson in 1908 in Delta County. He died 17 July 1980. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bill Berry of Lake Creek; 2 sons, J. Eldon Thompson of Dallas and Col.(Ret.) Edwin E. Thompson of Austin; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Roy McClain of Cooper; a brother, Joe Harris of Dallas; Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.' On the same stone with J. Elmer Thompson. |
