| Notes Information from Valerie Holloway, vholl@me.com, 1 Aug 2010: Sallie (Sarah) G. Smith Thompson, born in Indiana in 1820, was the oldest of five sisters and one brother. At 17 she married Archibald F. Thompson in Jackson, County, IN, on May 22, 1837. [Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT, OS Page: 1314624.] All of Sallie & Arch’s children were born in Tippah County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of John and Annis Hatley Smith, both buried in Old Hickory Flat Cemetery in Benton County, Mississippi. Tombstone is inscribed, “Sallie Thompson, Wife of A. F. Thompson." |
