THE PARIS NEWS Wed., Jul. 28, 1993, p. 16A: "Norris Thompson, 75, Rt. 1, Blossom, died Tuesday, July 27, in St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hollowell and the Rev. Lyndell McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Thompson was born May 25, 1918, in Caviness, a son of Houston and Lillie Sturgen Thompson. He attended Caviness schools and married Pauline Brunson Dec. 26, 1944. He served in the Medical Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Blossom Church of the Nazarene and was a stockman. He was also a retired welder, working from 1965-1980 at Babcock & Wilcox. Surviving are his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Norrine and Gary Williams of Paris; a son, Malcolm Thompson of Blossom; a grandson, Michael Williams of Paris; two granddaughters, Laci and Lesa Thompson, both of Blossom; two great-granddaughters, Amanda and Christi Williams of Paris; and three sisters, Dollie Corn of Paris, Lola Wisener of Coppell, and Melvia Newton of Lewisville. He was preceded in death by several sisters and a brother. Pallbearers will be George Pullins, Shawn Shannon, Carl Weaver, Roger Cato, Charles Casey and Richard Ward."

On the same stone with Pauline Brunson Thompson. Also has a military marker inscribed, "TEC 5 US Army - World War II."
