THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, August 6, 1944: “Lillie Carnell Thompson, day-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Thompson of Powderly, who died Friday morning at St. Joseph’s Hosptital here, was buried Saturday morning in Red Hill Cemetery by Brown-Roden Funeral Home. Graveside services were held by S. O. Cochran. Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, two brothers and the two grandmothers, Mrs. Ada Mullens, Dallas, and Mrs. Lillie Brackeen, Paris.”
